She is not signing anything new but seems to be trying to sign 'yes'. My mom told her 'no' the other day and she signed 'yes' but I don't think she meant to do it! She is still shaking her head 'yes' and 'no' and definitely knows what the word 'no' means. Sometimes she will get very upset when we tell her 'no'.We are working on connecting the shaking of the head + plus the saying the word + the sign, on 'yes' and 'no'. She knows that 'doggy' and 'Trebek' are the same thing and will look for him when I ask her is she can find him. She does the same thing for 'daddy', 'mommy', and 'grandma'. She gets really excited when I tell her we are going to see grandma!
We are still dealing with the separation anxiety but it seems like it may be just with me. Blaine can put her down and be gone for 30 minutes and she doesn't make a sound. She has seemed like she wants to be down on the floor more often this month, which was ok with me (more on that another day). She is cool on the floor for an hour or so but is not cool with me leaving. She will roll from side to side but HATES being on her stomach. So until she is walking, I don't have to worry about her getting into things she shouldn't be!
Last month, Bailey mickey button got pulled out on accident by Blaine. This month, it got pulled out by Bailey. Luckily, it was a night we had a nurse and she got a new one in without a problem. She is not eating or drinking anything by mouth (we have not been given the go to try that out) but we are supposed to let her taste and feel different textures so we deal with as little sensitivity as possible when she is able to eat normally. She has tasted apple, cantaloupe, Frito's, wheat thins, and bacon this month. She didn't seem to be a fan of any of them but the cantaloupe gave us the least offensive face!
Bailey also got a new car seat this month! We got a really good deal (we saved 40%!) on a highly rated convertible car seat and used part of our tax refund to pay for it. She will stay in this seat until she is 50lbs...so we have some time. I'm still figuring out how to get her out of the car seat and out of the car without bumping her head! Look how long her legs are! Happy 10 months, Bailey!
