Sorry for the lateness of this post - had a horrible migraine knock me out on Tuesday and the internet was down all day yesterday. On to the good news!
Bailey weighed in at 9lbs 14oz - 8oz higher than Friday! We have been feeding her more but not that much more! Dr. H thinks the scale used on Friday was off - it gets taken all over the place, we will be calling it "the traveling scale" from now on. Se was measured at 24 1/4 inches - less than than the Nov. visit - she didn't shrink but they never check the previous stats. She had some granulation tissue burned off around her g-tube. Doc was very pleased with the milestones she is hitting and told us not to worry about crawling. I guess a lot of babies don't crawl until 9 months (2 weeks) and there is a growing number of babies who never crawl. We got permission to put baby food through the g-tube - I guess it was just her nurse who thought it was a problem. We also were told to give her some firm foods to suck on and taste. She suggested french fries and cheetos. She had already sucked on pizza crust and french fries - I didn't know we needed to ask. Doc said we could dip whatever we were giving her in yogurt or "other dipping sauces". Not sure I want Bailey covered in bbq sauce!
So, we are to stick with the current feeding schedule of 85mL/an hour every 3 hours during the day(4 feedings) and a continuous feed of 360mL/10 hours at night. All that together gives her 23 1/3 ounces a day. Still less than what an average 8-9 month old eats but it's close! I have been weighing her every night on our scale and she has gained every night! We have to go back to the doc's for a weight check (on the same scale) on Monday but assuming she gains, we are free to increase or change things(baby food) as we see fit!
